I am right in my impatience. I have endured this flawed reality for twenty long years; I have taken it's various blows with dignity and have drank of it's stagnant waters without complaint. The knowledge that the darkness is soon to be lifted, the knowledge that it is the future and not the now I must enjoy, torments me. Fate still dangles this magnificent prize just beyond my reach. I have seen the future, and I am overjoyed. In joy, I am full of sorrow.
I can only hope that staring in obsession at the clock will be less painful when I do it with others.
